The problem is only a handful of companies have the formulas for producing the vaccines and they are protected by property rights.
They just do not have the capability of producing enough vaccines fast enough to avoid the destruction of many counties economy and the loss and pain of millions of people. Their property rights have to be waived and every country be given the information and support to set up manufacturing of the vaccine.
The U.S. have given Thailand one and half m. doses and promised another 1 m. The U.K. has given 400,000. But their population is 69 million. This is just scratching the surface. With the information available they and other countries like S.Korea could meet their needs and start supplying other countries.
Nobody begrudges the companies making millions, but the U.N. or some other organization has to get the information out there to escalate production. It is already too late for many sad souls.
