The other valid concern is of course Isis embedding in their numbers, with many lacking documentation.
But these poor people cannot be ignored and with little hope of the source of the problem being resolved until the World once again has an obvious leader at least a year down the road, interim measures are required immediately.
I recently saw a clip on Sky News showing some of the hapless victims being rescued from the sea. It was gut wrenching to witness little children screaming as they tried to stay afloat. Of course many did not over the past few months.
Maybe the answer is to create safe zones within their country to eliminate the need for them to flee to other countries.
The combined World resources have the capability to put together "Pop Up" cities. With bringing in prefabricated materials and services it should be possible to house hundred of thousands in limited but weather proof quarters until the country is stabilized. As refugees arrive the adults can be assigned work projects appropriate to their skills, providing a huge work force. Prefabricated buildings along with solar equipment on a huge scale would provide temporary solace until hopefully peace can be restored.
It would also be necessary to set up and enforce a "No fly zone" for these specific area(s) If this had been done in the first place much of this suffering could have been avoided. There may still be the risk of suicide bombers or similar terrorist attacks, which is a risk shared anywhere in the World until the problem is dealt with at the source.
But we come back to the same scenario, who would lead such an effort.? Someone has to.
