Clinton missed a big opportunity when Trump admitted not paying Federal Tax as it was within the law, she should have come back at him with "this is why we advocate changing the law to remove these types of tax loopholes that benefit the wealthy"
But in retrospect Clinton has just been ill and some might think she was juiced up on steroids to make it through the 90 min with a big smile on her face. As for Trump it is his first one on one debate going up against a much more experienced debater. Or is there more to it than that.?
Trump looked like an amateur in this debate but maybe a little too much like an amateur. When the discussion moved onto a topic Clinton wanted to avoid, she steered him off to defend a position of his own. But he is a very smart man, often underestimated.
I think he held back on this debate to avoid gaining too many points in the polls. Why would he do that ?
It's all about timing. The polls only count on Nov 8th, election day. The one thing that Trump wants to avoid is Obama panicking. Obama may have been a lousy President, but the one thing he is excellent at is campaigning. Just like Trump, he can whip up enthusiasm in the crowds that are drawn like moths to a bright light. If he thinks Clinton is in danger of losing he will drop everything, come out blasting, targeting colored and the youth vote in swing states. Also he will drag his V.P. and wife out to join the attack.
He won;t do this for any affection towards Clinton, but rather on the premise she will be more likely not to ruin his legacy, which Trump obviously will. We will see.
