Sadly it was not to be. Our city which voted 60% to leave in the referendum decided to ignore this one only opportunity to move forward towards an exit and destroy the credibilty of the one party dedicated to bring this about.
Ironicaly it was the 75th anniversary of D Day when thousands of British,American and Canadian boys gave their lives to liberate Europe. That same liberated Europe could well now control Great Britain for the next 75 years. Disappointed in you Peterborough.
The momentum now swings to Labour and the Brexit Party that could not win in a city that voted 60% to leave, is no longer considered a threat to remainers.
Every year thousands of young European immigrants reach voting age and thousand of indigenous old folks that don't want to be dictated to by Europe pass away. so if another referendum is held....the result could well be different.
At my age it will not effect me that much, but I would have liked to see the "Great" put back in Great Britain as it was 75 years ago......
